Call for Independent Post-Doctoral Fellowships

The MacDiarmid Institute invites applications for new Independent Post-Doctoral Fellowships. Several positions are expected to be awarded in this round of funding.

We are a Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE). Our virtual Institute spans across five of New Zealand’s universities - the University of Auckland, Massey University, Victoria University of Wellington, the University of Canterbury and the University of Otago - along with government innovation agency, Callaghan Innovation, and GNS Science, the country’s leading provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research.

Our research programmes explore aspects of advanced materials science and nanotechnology and link across biology, physics, materials science, mātauranga Māori, engineering and chemistry. 

Candidates must be supported by a MacDiarmid Institute host investigator who works at one of the MacDiarmid Institute partner organisations. The host investigator must be a current MacDiarmid Institute Principal Investigator (PI) or Associate Investigator (AI). Research proposals must aligns with at least one of the MacDiarmid Institute research programmes (Catalytic Architectures, Future Computing, Mātauranga Māori and Reconfigurable Systems).
