Nature of Science - Cather Simpson

The MacDiarmid Institute's Professor Cather Simpson talks about her amazing work, and why she loves being a scientist!

As the director of the Photon Factory, a laser lab making specific kinds of light, she studies how laser lights interact with molecules and what they decide they are going to do when molecules absorb that energy. Cather loves being a scientist because she is excited by learning new knowledge, and her jobs allows her to answer the question of how things work, not just why.
