Jérôme Leveneur received his Engineering degree from the École des Mines de Nantes, in France, with a specialisation in nuclear technology, science, and environment. He completed his doctoral studies with the University of Auckland and GNS Science investigating magnetic nanomaterials and their applications.
His work within the Environment and Materials division at GNS Science, focuses on research and innovation for the development of new functional surfaces and materials, and their application in sensor systems and manufacturing processes. He is expert on ion beam modification of materials and experienced in the use of synchrotron and atomic force microscopy techniques for material science.
His research interests include: magnetic and magneto-electric nanomaterials, magnetic sensors, sensor systems and surface properties engineering.
I’m focused on the application of ion beam science and technology in the R&D of new materials and transfer of ion beam technology to various areas, such as high value manufacturing, environment, geological science and agriculture.
