Muhammad Hanif is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Auckland. He has been working in New Zealand since March 2013. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Vienna, Austria. His research contributions have been recognised by prestigious awards including the Erwin Schrödinger Fellowship, Sir Charles Hercus Fellowship, and Alan Sargeson Lectureship Award.
Our multidisciplinary research focuses on making new molecules and materials for applications in biomedicine, catalysis, spintronics, and green energy technologies. These projects encompass a variety of metal ions, as well as numerous carefully designed ligand systems. We employ a combination of experimental and theoretical methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of their chemical behaviour and discover new properties
There is always more to learn, discover, and employ for tackling some of the most pressing global challenges.
Dr Muhammad Hanif
